Cynthia L. Hahn is the Administrator Research Compliance for The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and the North Shore-LIJ Health System where she serves as the Human Subject Protections Administrator for the IRB, the Privacy Officer for Research, Chair of the Conflicts of Interest in Research Committee and Vice Chair of the Human Subject Protections Program Advisory Committee (HuSPPAC). Ms. Hahn has over 14 years of experience in the design, conduct and implementation of clinical research protocols including work as a clinical research coordinator in substance abuse/mental health research for the National Institute on Drug Abuse’s medication development program, regulatory support for the biotechnology industry, as well as grant and human subject compliance activities for academic medical centers including SUNY Stony Brook, the Northport VAMC, and the North Shore-LIJ Health System. Ms. Hahn has served as a co-investigator on two NIH grants aimed at improving the environment of research compliance at academic medical centers, was one of the first in the nation to receive certification as an IRB Professional (CIP), is an active member of Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIMR), and served on the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) Network Neighborhood for Compliance.
